Montana & Wyoming: Yellowstone

To call Yellowstone a place of magnificent superlatives is not saying enough. In this primeval land of natural spectacle unchanged for millennia, skyscraping mountains and broad, fertile valleys shelter extraordinary wildlife, incredible vistas, epic waterfalls, and fully half of all the mudpots, fumaroles, geysers, and other geothermal rarities on Earth. Your journey into this wonderland will take in all the legendary sights—the ethereal, terraced beauty of Mammoth Hot Springs, the indescribable colors of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, the iconic and monumental Old Faithful, the serenity of Hayden Valley.

But we’ll go further into the park than most ever do, finding hidden thermal springs, jeweled lakes, wildflower-strewn meadows, and river basins filled with vast bison herds. Spot grizzlies, wolves, elk, moose, pelicans, and other rare species as you traverse Yellowstone’s awe-inspiring country. Then put your feet up by one of the fireplaces of the historic waterfront Lake Yellowstone Hotel, and relax in the heated pool at a 200-acre ranch set against the dramatic wilderness that is the pride of the American West.

GUEST COMMENT

Country Walkers tours give you the opportunity to experience terrain and scenery that you might not see on your own.  The guides made the trip more meaningful because their knowledge gives you a better understanding and deeper appreciation of what you’re observing.
